Adapted from the true story of Christine Chubbuck, a famous American news anchor in 1974. The 29-year-old Christine (Rebecca Hall) was both beautiful and intelligent, and was the leading female anchor at the time. However, in the 1970s, it was not easy for outstanding career-oriented women to gain recognition in society and in the workplace. Coupled with the problems of love and family, Christine was already under tremendous pressure. TV stations decide life and death by ratings, ordering news programs to include more tidbits and explosive stories.
