·The first filming of the film was in a nearly 4,000-square-meter studio. A total of 40 designers and animation technicians worked together to design and build the 3D Istanbul and Edirne Palace. Of course, some of the story scenes were fictitious. The first filming lasted 4 weeks.
·The location of the second filming was moved to the northwestern city of Edirne, Bayezette II Mosque. In this complex building, the filming took six weeks.
· In May 2010, the film crew started the third filming at a famous gunpowder factory in Atakoy District, Istanbul . An open area of nearly 14,600 square meters turned into a huge open-air movie shooting base, where models of markets, ports, churches, and shell factories were built. These scenes took seven months to build.
·For a continuous shot of only 20 seconds, 6 actual-size wooden houses and a mosque were also made. These are to appear in the small village where the protagonist recalls his life in the past. In order to show the truth, it took six months to build this village.
·In order to shoot the war scenes, it took 10 months to set up the battlefield alone. A huge scene of more than 100,000 square meters was temporarily constructed in the open area near the waters of the Ali Bikao Dam in the Atakoy District of Istanbul. Including the streets of Istanbul, the streets of Medina, the underground passages dug in the war, the battlefields, the city walls of Istanbul, and so on.
·In order to shoot naval battles, three large sailing ships of realistic size were built.
·The film's props used about more than 10,000 various war props and other accessories, 20 observation towers of the same size as the actual objects, and 5 large trebuchets with a length of 15 meters.
· There are as many as 15,000 extras.
·The main actors in the movie all took lessons in horse riding and fencing, and 20 tailors used 44,000 meters of fabric to make their costumes.
·The film crew used 250 horses and 40 buffaloes.
