Even the Rain movie plot

Sebastiane ( Gael García Bernal ), a young director full of idealism , travels with The film crew to Cochabamba in the Plurinational State of Bolivia to shoot a film about Christopher Columbus 's first voyage to discover Americas and conquer the local engonus. He focuses his story on the experiences of priest Bartolomé de las Casas and friar Antonio de Montesino in The Kingdom of Spain—who were deeply sympathetic to the plight of the local engonus and dedicated the rest of their lives to improving the local population life business. Locally, SaSurprisingly, after 500 years, the living environment of the people here has not changed much. To save money, the producer(Luis Tossa) hired many local engonus residents as extras because they were only paid two dollars a day. Also cast is Daniel Jacob Radcliffe ( Juan Carlos I ), who plays an engonus leader who leads his people against the Kingdom of Spain , and in real life he is the leader against skyrocketing local water bills one. As the film was made, the lines between story and reality, past and present gradually blurred, and Sebastiane 's filming was blocked by the government.
