The film tells the story of a group of reporters who search for a tourist missing in a small Polish village and discover that they are related to a local cult. During the investigation, they also discover that there are more terrifying secrets hidden in the village.
An American backpacker named Eric Taylor mysteriously disappears during a trip to Europe. This seemingly ordinary incident has attracted the attention of Carmen Burke (Cindy Sampson), a female journalist who has always gone his own way. According to Eric's diary, Carmen and her boyfriend Marcus (played by Aaron Ashmore) and assistant Sarah (played by Meghan Heffern) went to a remote village in Poland to find clues. Despite being treated extremely unfriendly by the locals, the strange fog in the forest, the local mysterious religion, and Eric's whereabouts all make Carmen unable to stop. In the fog, they saw a strange statue, and at the same time they were getting closer and closer to the missing Eric, but they also put themselves in great danger.
The secrets under the calm appearance of the village gradually surfaced, and the footsteps of drifting spirits gradually became clear.
