Alena Marshall is a glamorous female celebrity. She never hides her love for other men, but also enjoys the feeling of being pursued by men, thus completely ignoring the feelings of her husband and adopted daughter. Patrick Redfern is a handsome and energetic boy. Although he has a frail wife Christine Redfern, he still can't resist Alena's temptation. The resort hotel "Happy Roger" on the small island next to Lathecombe Bay has become a stage for showcasing evil. All tourists who come here on holiday seem to have a conflict of interest with Alena. Where there is sin, there is Poirot, and this time is no exception. The wise man sees all contradictions in his eyes. Alena died, which came as no surprise to everyone. It's a perfect rendition of Granny's novel again. Beek's dubbing is too awesome. My impression of Polo when I was a child was exactly this voice, and this version of Polo is more in line with my character than Peter Finch and David Suchet. Imagination PS: I said why the heroine is so familiar, it turns out to be Charlotte Gainsbourg his mother

Evil Under the Sun quotes

  • Daphne Castle: [notices Poirot in lobby] Oh, you - you must be Sir Horace Blatt's friend; perhaps - perhaps you'll sign in?

    Poirot: [signs hotel register]

Daphne Castle: Oh, so you're the famous Hercule Poirot eh?

Poirot: Ah you are too amiable madame.

Daphne Castle: [sternly] Perhaps - I hope you haven't come here to practice your sleuthing games on my guests - they've all got far too many skeletons in their cupboards to join in with enthusiasm.

  • Christine Redfern: [watching people sunbathing on the beach] How I wish I could do that, just lie in the sun.

Poirot: Mais porquoi, madame? Look at them lying in rows, like corpses at the morgue! They are not men and women. Nothing personal about them. They're just bodies, butcher's meat, steaks grilling in the sun.
