The last summer of the twentieth century. On that day, human beings knew for the first time that they were not the only rulers of the earth.
A huge creature "monster" and a powerful being that can expel the monster - "Godzilla" appeared on the earth. The battle with monsters lasted for half a century, and human beings kept failing and fleeing, and finally had to implement a plan to escape from the earth. In 2048, the human beings selected by the artificial intelligence under the management of the central government took the stellar immigration ship "Alatram" to the "Cetus Tower E" 11.9 light-years away. However, after a 20-year journey, the environment of Tae-star and the earth was worse than expected, and it was not suitable for the survival of human beings.
On the other hand, the young man on the immigrant ship, Haruo, witnessed his parents being killed by Godzilla when he was 4 years old, and has been studying how to defeat Godzilla and retake the earth for 20 years. When the possibility of emigration no longer exists, the number of "Earth Returners" centered on Haruo increases in the ship, where the living environment is getting worse and worse, and decides to start a dangerous long-distance warp movement and return to Earth.
However, what they return to is the Earth after 20,000 years, an unknown world where an ecosystem with Godzilla as its apex has been formed.
Whether human beings can regain the planet that once belonged to them, and what will be the fate of Haru.

Haruo Sakaki: Should I repent to your god?

Metphies: I'd settle for a fake confession, too.

  • Takeshi J. Hamamoto: [after hearing Godzilla's roar] M-Maybe it was thunder or...

Unberto Mori: Idiot! No one would ever forget that roar! Damn it. It's still on this planet.
