In the mountains of North Macedonia, Hatiz Muratova and her 80-year-old half-blind mother live in a remote mountain village more than 50 kilometers away from Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. There are no roads, electricity or running water, and no other residents can even be seen. There is only one dog and three cats to accompany the mother and daughter, and Hatiz’s other identity is a female beekeeper. Hatitz uses an ancient method that has been passed down from generation to generation to collect wild honey from the cliffs, and she is the only one who has mastered this method locally. Therefore, Hatiz was called "the last wild beekeeper in Europe" by the media. "Half for the bees and half for me" is the secret of Hatiz's beekeeping, and it is also the ancient belief in nature of generations of beekeepers. After each collection and canning, Hatitz would pack up and hike for four hours to the nearest city to sell.
On the other side, the Turk Hussein and his wife came to Hatiz’s village with seven young children in the early morning. Hatitz stood in the courtyard blankly, looking across the courtyard wall, she was attracted by such a vibrant family. Hussein sensed the business opportunity of beekeeping because of getting married with Hatiz, so he took the whole family and started raising bees. More importantly, under the lure of interest, Hussein forgot Hatiz’s “half to the bees and half to me”, and step by step towards the abyss of greed, which triggered a conflict with Hatiz
