The heroine Hatiz’s neighbor Hussein’s family are nomads and come to the filming location every season. During the filming of the film, the director did not notice the neighbor's arrival, because the director was focusing on shooting Hatitz's story, but later realized that he needed to show the biggest conflict between Hatitz and the environment in the film. Then she discovered that her story cannot be separated from the people like Hussein and the contradiction between her and them. So the director added Hussein's story into the shooting task when shooting.
During the filming, the heroine Hatiz mainly used the ancient Turkish language to communicate with her mother, which was difficult to understand. Therefore, in the later editing process, the director decided to give up a lot of dialogue and use more body language and visual expressions to show the emotions and connections of the characters. In addition, because the filming location could not be powered, nor could it use conventional transportation, the shooting team was finally reduced to two directors and two photographers, and the recording equipment had to be abandoned. The shooting time took a total of three years and accumulated more than 400 hours of shots
