Jack the Giant Slayer Mediocre pseudo-magic

The film "Jack the Giant Slayer" combines the two stories of "Jack and the Bean" and "Jack the Giant Slayer". It seems that it should be a fantasy work. In fact, the whole movie is as plain as boiled water. The relationship between the characters is weak, there is no dramatic tension, and the special effects that were originally proud have become shortcomings. The lines in the film have repeatedly said that "the bedtime story you heard is true", including at the end of the film, focusing on the Modern British Museum, you can also see the director’s ambition to sublimate the theme and want to combine fairy tales with reality. It is blurred, but the concept is completely emptied. The film only cuts out the most well-known parts of the two fairy tales, and then puts together a mediocre work. There are no surprising passages in the development of the movie's story. Jack and the giant are always playing hide-and-seek, and the protagonist only relies on luck and procrastination to defeat the tall enemy. There is no dramatic tension in this setting. ()
