Spain was undergoing major changes in the early 1980s. There was a remote town on La isla minima in the Guadalquivir Valley, where an extremely cruel murder of a girl took place. Detective Padroand his partner Juanfrom Madrid were ordered to investigate the matter. However, the murder was not as simple as the feudal conservative local residents thought. The two gradually discovered that this was a serial girl missing. They were probably not just facing a cruel murderer, but an organization. With the key clues provided by the victim’s mother, the case became more convoluted. During the investigation, Padro also discovered Juan’s unknown past, which is even more disturbing. The corruption of the society, as well as the poverty and indifference of the people in the small town, both face great challenges.
