A total of 133 scenes were shot in the film. And use two completely different colors to represent New York and Australia, gray and brown respectively. For clay animation, shooting such a scene is undoubtedly a huge project-everything from deserted islands to chocolate shops must be carefully crafted. For the film crew, the biggest challenge is to "fabricate" the horizon of New York. At the same time, this is also the most time-consuming scene in the entire movie. It took 20 people in the entire art team two full months to complete it. A total of 632 clay molds were manufactured and used by the crew, and a total of 10 animation production teams and 7 filming teams worked at the same time.

They need a movable mouth and movable eyebrows-in each frame, the staff will give the character a different mouth. There are 1026 different mouths in the whole film, and each mouth is a model of steel wire wrapped in plasticine. In order to make Max move when he speaks, the crew made 30 mouths for him.
