"Michael Collins" honors the heroes of the Irish independence movement while questioning a history full of doubts. The director insists on using the perspective of being close to the protagonist subjectively, so that the audience can gain insight into the rich heart of Collins after his brilliant achievements. Although the whole film is interspersed with a series of historical events, the main line is always condensed in Collins's different handling of these events. In terms of attitude, it did not become a running account in the end, and by depicting Michael Collins who had to use violent means to fight for the independence of Ireland, but also hoped for peace and his painful heart of constant struggle, the historical images of the year were added at intervals, making the film always full of sadness. The power of melancholy. The film uses a double isomorphism approach in its architecture. The historical facts of how Collins was so powerful that he was framed by Valera's repeated conspiracies are brought together one by one, and the reasons for Collins's untimely death are pointed out very poignantly. The end of the film is full of sorrow for the infighting of the Irish people. In the handling of emotional scenes, although it enriches the characters and stimulates the audience's more interest in watching the movie, it lowers the heroic style of the whole film. On the other hand, when the director explained that Collins used violent and terrifying methods, he did not hide it, and was full of detailed descriptions of various assassinations, showing the audience the real situation that Collins faced back then   .
