In April 1946, a Florida court sentenced German spy John Heberman to 20 years in prison. John’s cheerful, enthusiastic, and charming daughter Leah Heberman was both disgusted and painful at his father’s crimes. After returning home from the court, he found a friend to get rid of his troubles with a small ball, and a stranger appeared. In the early morning, after everyone was drunk, the drunk Leah took the stranger for a drive. After the police intercepted him, she discovered that the stranger was Deep, an official working for the US intelligence service.
Leah agreed to serve the country under the persuasion of Dip. The two went to Rio, Brazil, where the remnants of the Nazis gathered, where they learned that John had committed suicide in prison. Soon, Dip fell in love with Leah. At this moment, Dip received the order that Leah would entice the leader of the Nazis, Alex Sebastian, to obtain information. Deeply puts her national interest first and asks Leah to perform the task, but Leah thinks Deeply doesn't love her.
The clever and alert Leah used her father's old relationship to quickly gain Sebastian's trust and love. Under the disappointment of Dip and the instructions of her superiors, Leah agreed to Sebastian's marriage proposal. After the marriage, Leah has discovered a lot of important information for the intelligence department, and feels that the wine cellar at home is suspicious. Dipp took the opportunity of Leah's dance to come to Sebastian's house. Leah got him the key to the wine cellar. They found out that there was red wine containing ore in the wine cellar. Sebastian realized that Leah had stolen her key, understood Leah's identity and intentions, and was very angry.
In order not to be known by the Nazi accomplices that he had leaked secrets, Chebas gave Leah a chronic poison under the instruction of his mother, in an attempt to make her die unknowingly. Although Leah realized the secret later, she didn't even have the strength to escape. Dipp found that the situation was not right and came to Sebastian’s house to listen to the situation, and used the weakness of Sebastian’s mother and son’s inability to leak secrets to the Nazi accomplices, and successfully rescued Leah   .

Rewatch @dianbo; atypical Xifa style, too much detail close-up is suspected of leading the audience, but his narcissistic style of drinking champagne with a shy belly makes people smile; among many Hollywood actresses, Bergman is also one of them The unique existence, despite the big bones and tall stature, gives people a feeling of purity and even weakness (probably the most admired actress by Xi Fat); when women project their emotions into any work or political relationship, it tends to be tilted and destroyed.

Some plots can't stand scrutiny, but the beauty of love transcends logic. The routine of handsome guys and beauties is very sultry in Hitchcock's hands. The reason is that this master of suspense really loves love, don't put on sadomasochism With labels like Twisted Ba, all the fashionable labels used by the directors nowadays, they have never been able to tell such a fascinating and soul-stirring good story, with love and suspense, no one can surpass Hitchcock

  • Devlin: [referring to Sebastian] Well, he's here. The head of a large German business concern.

Alicia: His family always had money.

Devlin: He's part of the combine that built up the German war machine and hopes to keep on going.

    Alicia: Something big?

Devlin: It has all the earmarks of being something big.
