"Perfect Blue" is the debut animation directed by Kon Satoshi. Kon Satoshi borrowed the narrative technique of "play in play" with the lens editing design to pave the story development, shape the characters, and highlight the creative style.
Kon Satoshi used a lot of film and television narrative techniques in "Perfect Blue", so that different disciplines can analyze the film from different angles. For example, film and television can make different interpretations from editing and scheduling. The use of color in the film is more unique and vivid than other works: a large number of gray tones make the atmosphere of the film look more depressing and obscure, or a strong contrast of tones emphasizes the direction of the characters' psychological activities, and even directly uses color psychology to affect the audience. Suggestion to complete the plot: blue, orange, and red respectively point to stability (fear), confusion, and danger of disorder. This is also the three mental manifestations of reality, dreams, and illusions caused by the split personality of Wei Ma and Liu Mei. Observing this film from the perspective of color language can make the story line of dreams, reality and illusions more clear.

A story that is even more divisive than "Rose, Red Lotus". Depressed, schizophrenic, out-of-date stars confront shame, delusional idol actors, and are trained to be true and false to the last sentence "I, but it's true" after saying I almost thought I was going to shout "CUT" again. However, the future seems to be inexplicably bright.

The creativity of '97 is amazing, the transition between reality and illusion is fascinating and terrifying. Picking a thorn more harshly is that the character modeling is relatively rough, and the theme selection is too dreamy, which reduces the strength of "terribly real".
