"Please Give," despite its light-hearted tone, contains a strong sense of irony. The story of the film is simple and clear, but driven by the very life-like dialogues of the protagonists, the issues and phenomena related to love, family affection, and sophistication that linger in the lives of two or more ordinary families are fully revealed, making the audience feel Comprehension in the insipid, and resonance after the perception. The middle-class woman played by Catherine Keener brings the audience not only kindness and authenticity, but even shocks. The delicate relationship with her cheating husband, the different kind of affection with her daughter who worships money, and the harmonious coexistence with the beggars on the street, all describe this woman who is confused in the ocean of life very well   .
