The themes of scars have emerged in an endless stream since 9/11. Americans have not been tired of seeing them, but we outsiders are already tired of reading them. Come, go, what you did, what you left behind, what the locals think about it, none of this is known. The incompatibility between the West and Afghanistan is the film's innate deficiencies, and its single perspective is not its fault. The photographer is amazing, it's a life-threatening tribute to Tim Hetherington who was just killed in Libya.
