(7/10) I saw Dance in the Rain from "Killer Leon" a long time ago. Needless to say, it's a classic. But looking at it now, is this film too mean to the second female Linna? After the misunderstanding in the first half, the male protagonist did not persuade the female protagonist to apologize to Linna at all, but just blamed Linna one-sidedly. Although Linna was also at fault in the second half, it was because the protagonists did not respect her first (without asking if she agreed), which led to Linna's radical reaction. From the beginning to the end, the male protagonist only cares about quarreling, and does not want to reason with Linna to ease the conflict... In addition, after reading the encyclopedia, the voices of the two female protagonists in this film are actually from Linna's actor Jane Hagen (but Most of the songs of the female one are sung by herself).

The story is almost meaningless but extremely interesting. The silent film evolves into talkie in the form of singing and dancing. Just like the real voice of nature behind the scenes, a set of gorgeous "Broadway melodies" will combine the grotesque vision of expressionist silent films with the uniqueness of sound films. The charm is perfectly blended, it is simply cute, and it is enough to just look at the most powerful singing and dancing in this movie history, Gene Kelly's charm is king-level.
