On the basis of restoring the character image of the Smurfs, the film introduces the beautiful and fantastic mysterious Forbidden Forest and new female Smurfs characters to inject new vitality into the animation.
The film is fully animated, trying to restore the original work of Belgian cartoonist Peyo. In line with the principle of being faithful to the original work and paying tribute to the classics, the creative team "re-engraved" the Belgian-style Peyo comics, based on the classics but not limited to the classics. The film also has innovations in character expansion and environmental portrayal. The creative team has carefully crafted many new characters, among which Annoying Bug and Bucky Rabbit are the most eye-catching. Their images and designs still continue the style of Peyo comics, which are cute, funny and enthusiastic. In terms of environmental depiction, the Smurfs village has bright colors and very soft lines. The large and small mushroom houses are arranged harmoniously, and the warm sunshine is full of children's interest; the Gagawu's lair has a lot of shadows, and the lines are also full of edges and corners. The villain's gloomy breath. The distinctive environments are in sharp contrast, which not only makes the Smurfs village pleasant and comfortable, but also highlights the positive energy of love, tolerance and concerted efforts in the elves.
"Smurfs: The Lost Village" is not the kind of energetic animated comedy that parents and children will cherish, but more of a calming object with colorful distractions.
The film is mediocre, but it fulfills its primary function of keeping these blue creatures alive for their future commercial purposes.
Smurfs: The Lost Village is microwave food for kids, with tiresome metaphors and bland clichés that a village should never be found.
Smurfs fans will probably like the movie, and it does have some good lines, but it must be said that the script and the characters' actions are completely predictable, as if they were automatically generated by a computer.
