Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith About Special Effects
2021-10-18 09:27
There are more than 2,200 special effects in "Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith", surpassing any previous Star Wars movie and other fantasy giants, and even the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy are willing to bow down. Some lenses use 5 or 60 different elements, and most of these lenses are invisible to ordinary people.
Industrial Light & Magic's special effects director John Knorr and Roger Guyette shared the heavy special effects production in the film. Among them, Konor has been working on the special effects of the Star Wars movie for more than 10 years, in which he completed the spectacular and thrilling air combat scene at the beginning of the film. Guyet is responsible for directing the production of Mustafa, the volcanic planet where Obi-Wan and Anakin are at the decisive battle. In the end, the computer-generated Mustafa star is composed of the erupting Mount Etna, digital scene graphs and miniature models. Some miniature models are up to 30 feet long. Thousands of gallons of this "magma" created a 4-foot-wide lava river.
The animation in the film is 90 minutes long, more than any previous Star Wars movie. Animation director Rob Coleman pointed out that Jedi Master Yoda may be one of the most important achievements of the animation department. Although Yoda generated with digital technology appeared in "Attack of the Clones", Yoda's image in the film is fuller, with more real skin, and more time and dialogue.
