There are many commercial films that take simple plots and complex processes to the extreme. The best example is "Pirates of the Caribbean". The story that can be told in a few words is full of entertainment. The small twists and turns in the evolution of the plot and Johnny Day Pu's acting alone fascinated the audience. "Stardust" almost reproduces the routines of "Pirates of the Caribbean", but these humor are more derived from Neil Gaiman's settings in the original novel. For example, the captain played by Robert De Niro brings a group of brothers and makes a living by catching lightning in the clouds. In front of the brethren, he is a majestic captain, but in fact he is a transvestite, and serving as a captain is just for business. In addition, the seven intriguing princes in the story are also a bright spot. After being cursed, they remain in the world in the form of souls and cannot leave until someone inherits the throne. So the black and white ghosts of these princes kept their appearance when they died, commenting on the progress of the story like an audience. Finally, since it is a fantasy film, the scenes still need to be talked about. The investment in "Stardust" is only more than 70 million US dollars, which is not much, but Matthew Vaughan has made a moving world that is slightly similar to reality but more imaginative. There are not many scenes in the film, but both the witch’s palace and the pirate ship in the sky are impressive. In general, "Stardust" is a good movie that is neat in all aspects and should not be missed. This fairy tale is a bit similar to the 2006 "Lady in the Water", if you are willing to believe it, you will find it very beautiful. ()
