The 15:17 to Paris evaluation action

The most appreciated part of the film is its de-artistic. Eastwood experimented with a minimalist style on the film, which made some of his other works show baroque beauty. He seems to be testing the limits of minimalism, testing how many artificial carvings can be removed without destroying the dramatic tension of the film. The authenticity of the story ensures a straightforward power, and this is exactly what Eastwood is trying to show in the film. It is his ingenuity to absorb the true story that gives the film a charming charm and touching power, which is extremely straightforward and mysterious.
Whether intentionally or not, the real charm of the film is the hallucinogenic boring holiday: endless beer, endless coffee, endless selfies. There is no tension and no real connection between the protagonists, as if they don't know each other very well. However, this may also be the actual appearance of real friends, and there is no script-style movie to highlight friendship at all times.
Although these three young people became actors for the first time, they showed a kind of inherent personal charm. However, as shown by Eastwood and screenwriter Dorothy Blaskell, their journey lacks drama in itself. Before the three men board the train to face the terrorists, the plot lacks dramatic conflict. If Eastwood did not randomly insert the clip at the beginning of the terrorist attack in the early stages of the film, there would be no dramatic tension in the film.

I saw that several friends had very low ratings, and they couldn't believe it was shot by Grandpa Dongmu, and also questioned the role of the large-scale European travel notes in the middle. I understand it quite well. I can't figure out the situation when I see the middle part, but when I see the last few scenes, I feel very strange. Later, I checked that this movie based on a real story actually invited a real person. Come play! I suddenly understand a little bit. In fact, many senior directors know how to use the time of the film itself, a certain shot or paragraph. One second less has the purpose of one second less, and one more hour has the effect of one more hour. Many senior directors also know how to express boredom with boredom, express fierceness with fierceness, and express the same content in the same form, rather than expressing various content in undifferentiated ordinary forms. Therefore, this film actually uses this kind of home video, vlog-like form and enough time to express the corresponding content, which is very real. And these real American young people suddenly encountered something, and their reaction within a few seconds seemed very real. The look and feel is really average, but this movie is very creative and imaginative

The 15:17 to Paris quotes

  • Airman Spencer Stone: I don't know, ma'am. I just didn't want my family finding out that I died hiding under a table.

  • Anthony: Hey, man, will you take a candid of me real quick?

Specialist Alek Skarlatos: You know its not a candid if you ask me to take it, right?
