In the pre-shooting preparation process, in addition to constantly improving the script and cast, finding and preparing the shooting location is also the top priority. The places where Berne stayed include Paris, Suez and Italy.
Berlin occupies a large proportion of the film, and even some scenes in Moscow were shot here. The producers are centered on the Berlin Babelsberg Film Studio, which was the world's largest film studio before World War II and has a longer history than Hollywood. The crew filmed the entire Berlin and surrounding suburbs. The original East German area also appeared in the film as a street in Moscow. The scene of Bern’s escape on the Friedrich Bridge was filmed in Mitte, the former East German area. After arriving in Moscow, the crew mainly filmed several main streets and some buildings on the outskirts of the city, and avoided any easily recognizable tourist attractions and signs, thus allowing the realism of the first film to continue.
The location of the film was shot in reverse order, and the last stop was Goa, India. The crew will be headquartered in New Kailim Beach in the north of Goa and filming will start in Panaji, the capital of Goa. The scene where Bourne drove a jeep through the narrow streets to avoid tracking was filmed there. Then the crew headed south to Palolem Beach to film the hiding place by the seaside of Bern and Mary and the small restaurant where Berne took Mary and escaped. However, because Goa is far away from Bollywood, the film center of India, the shooting conditions are not ideal. There are often uninvited onlookers during location shooting, which also includes various domestic animals, which causes inconvenience to extend the depth of field.
