In order to make "The Return of the Mummy" have a different charm than the first one, So Mosty invited the world's top special effect producer-the "Light and Magic Enterprise" under Lucas. The company used a total of 150 staff and 30 animators, and it took nearly 7 months to complete all the special effects shots.
The main filming of the film is still unfolding in Morocco, the location of "The Mummy". Prior to this, the crew had completed the main action and special effects scenes in Jordan. After finishing filming in the small town of Erfoud, Somos led the crew to Ouarzazate and filmed the desert airport scene in the small town where the French Foreign Legion had been stationed.
Shepperton Studios is still the base camp for the crew to shoot in the UK, where ancient pyramids, palaces and temples were built. The main locations selected by the crew in the UK include the Tower Bridge on the Thames, the street in front of the British Museum, a large sand quarry in Bedfordshire and a national park in Buckinghamshire.
