He is an arrogant, stiff and grumpy Carpathian Crown Prince who visited London for the coronation of King George V in 1911. Her name is Elsie Marina, and she is an ordinary woman from a small seaport in the southeastern United States. She acted as a supporting role in the go-go dancers in London, although she lacked grace and manners, she was reasonable. Their encounter was a blunder, but they soon fell into an ambiguity, and it was difficult to tell who tempted the other. With Olivier's graceful demeanor, Monroe's various manners, and Terrence Latigan's script (adapted from his stage play "The Sleeping Prince"), this film will surely make you feel a royal courtesy with all your heart and soul.

    Elsie Marina: Well, Maisie Springfield.

Charles, the Prince Regent: No, no, no. Maisie Springfield, she's quite what I would call 'old hat.'

Elsie Marina: Oh? And am I what you'd call 'new hat?'

  • Charles, the Prince Regent: You like--vodka?

Elsie Marina: I never tried it. I don't think I better.

Charles, the Prince Regent: Oh, you must! This is *very* special.
