Five Oscar-nominated production designer Abbot Brenner is responsible for the artistic design of the film. In the film, the palaces, towns and countryside of Kenovia are all designed and built by him in the Los Angeles area. In order to build the interior of Kenovia Palace, the crew occupied five studios of Universal Picture Co. , which were used to build the living room, ballroom, throne room, hall, corridor, and kitchen. Skilled craftsmen led by Albert Brenner used fiberboard to make marble floors, and wood and polystyrene foam to make stone pillars and stairs. On the wall of the throne room in the film, there are more than 10 portraits of successive monarchs. These portraits are drawn according to the directors of the various departments of the crew and the producers. And in Pasadena ’s St. Andrews Catholic Church, the royal wedding ceremony was shot   .
