The Scent of Green Papaya movie plot

At the age of 10, the little girl Mei came to work as a servant in a big family in the city. The owner was a folk musician. She often left without saying goodbye to her family. The wife once had a daughter who died of a serious illness. Mei looked very much like the deceased young lady, so she was especially loved by the young mistress. The young master swept away all the family's savings time and time again, and the wife finally could not support the family's expenses, and began to sell property, relying on weaving and selling yarn to make a living.
