The beginning of "The Unusuals Season" is very arresting: the protagonist of the policewoman is doing business with a group of street girls. The boss urgently mobilizes her to investigate a murder case. She wears a low-cut coat and black stockings, and goes to the crime scene with heavy makeup. Is the heroine a detective? No, viewers will soon find out that she's really just a rookie, and the only reason she's put on fire is because she's from a wealthy family and is unlikely to take bribes. Regarding the complexity of the police, there are many works in the United States and Hong Kong. In the subsequent development of the story, behind each of the heroine's peers, there seems to be a cardboard box of secrets: as small as sneaking away an armored car for fun, and as big as having a secret agreement with the local underworld high-level, everyone Bearing these heavy burdens, we fought the barrage of bullets on the streets of New York to defend the law. The "good guy" or "bad guy" labels don't quite match up—somewhat reminiscent of Infernal Affairs. The biggest shortcoming of this drama is that the plot of the case is quite simple and there is not much suspense. This design may better highlight the characters, but it may not be refreshing enough for audiences accustomed to American police dramas
.
"The Unusuals Season" has a taste of the classic series "NYPD Blue" and a little bit of the hit series "The Office". Although the show is also a traditional crime investigation drama, it can even be called a "light comedy" with the addition of a "humorous" part.
The show is written by "Bones" producer Noah Hawley and directed by "24" and "Californication" director Stephen Hopkins.
