"The designer's hardship is forever"? It is very different from the epic film you imagined. It is the dullest one of the few Hayao Miyazaki I have seen. Whether it is a major earthquake or World War II, a few shots have passed without too much ink, but it has given countless empty spaces. Shots of the sky, clouds, grass, and trains. In fact, if the background of war is let go, the movie is like the director’s nostalgia for the times, hometown, and old people.
