"Transformers" was released on October 16, 2007 in the first region of the DVD, and also released in HD DVD format. Among them, the Wal-Mart version of the DVD contains a reduced animation version of the previous comic, called "Transformers Beginnings", with the voices of Mark Ryan, Peter Cullen, Kevin Dunn and Frank Wilk. The Target version is a DVD box deformed by Optimus Prime and a comic book about the Decepticons. After the release of DVD, 8.3 million copies were sold in the first week, which was the fastest selling DVD in 2007. HD DVD sold 190,000 copies in North America, setting a new record for single-film sales of this format. A total of 13.74 million copies of DVD were sold, which was also the best-selling in 2007.
The movie was released on Blu-ray Disc on September 2, 2008. The two-disc version became the best-selling movie Blu-ray disc in the first week, accounting for two-thirds of movie DVD sales that week, and still ranked third in all DVD sales. On June 16, 2009, Paramount included a sticker on all new "Transformers" DVDs, which contains a code that can be used to watch the first movie's exclusive content online, and you can also enjoy the sequel "Transformers: "Vengeance", the content includes three exclusive clips of "Transformers: Vengeance", behind-the-scenes clips of two movies and some deleted scenes from the first movie that have never been released. As of September 9, 2013, DVD has sold more than 16.25 million copies in North America, with revenue of more than US$292 million.
