It was released in the United States on July 9, 2010. The film tells about the hidden worries of the relationship between lesbian couples Nicole and Jules. Paul's intervention happened to be the fuse of the family conflict   .

"Salmon Fishing in the Yemen" is directed by Lasse Hallström , with Simon Beaufrey as the screenwriter, and Ewan McGregor and Emily Blunt co-starring. The film was released in the United States on March 9, 2012. The film is adapted from the novel "Fishing for Salmon in Yemen".
