From Olivestone's point of view, the most influential person in Alexander's life was his mother, Olympias. Due to the extreme hatred and jealousy of her husband's constant search for flowers and willows, Olympias insisted that Alexander was her son with the god Zeus, who would be different from his father and become a great hero like Achilles. Alexander has always been influenced by his mother, taking Achilles as his goal, and dreaming of obtaining the deified feats of ancient Greek heroes. But on the other hand, he was deeply tormented by his mother's jealous and sinister heart, that is, he deeply loved her but could not bear her. It seems that these influences of his mother on him constituted, in a large measure, the main reason for his expedition.
