Alexander was brilliant since he was a child. He was taught by the master Aristotle. He was granted the post of governor of the capital when he was a little longer. He was appointed as the commander-in-chief of the Macedonian army for his merits in putting down the bandits.
Philip was assassinated in 336 BC, Alexander succeeded to the throne and inherited his father’s will. He led the Greek coalition forces to attack Persia. The battle of Guannikaka defeated Persia and went straight to Asia Minor to capture the Mesopotamia. The Persian Empire collapsed, the Persian King Darius was killed and he marched. Egypt crossed the Indus River into the Ganges River Basin, and was forced to retreat because of the sergeant's homesickness. Alexander blended Eastern and Western cultures, encouraged intermarriage between nations, and advocated equal status among nations, spread the laws of Greek thought and law in various places, and created the Hellenistic era culture, but he was only 33 years old when he died.
