Nelson Mandela, just out of jail, has successfully run for the presidency of South Africa. He led the desegregation of people and led the way, hiring white escorts and establishing color-coded communication in every way. As the host of the 1995 Rugby World Cup, South Africa is back in the international sports family. However, South Africa's rugby team - the Springboks, whose players are all white, is regarded by many blacks as synonymous with racism. In order to break the barrier, Mandela took a long-term view and supported the exchange and competition between the Springboks and foreign visiting teams. He met Springbok captain Piena, and the two had a heart-to-heart conversation.
