In this film, I saw the confrontation between the media and the government, saw one excellent media person bet his career to act, and saw the gentle and firm helm Katherine persistently make that Bold and brave decision. That moment was related to the life and death of the newspaper, but they still chose to disclose the truth. Other newspapers followed suit and published the Pentagon incident, which was more like a collective cry and protest in the industry, protesting against the president’s deceitful behavior and defending press freedom to the death. In the face of press freedom, newspapers and newspapers are no longer competitors, but comrades-in-arms sitting together. It's really touching. So many people who dare to speak the truth have spoken out together and won their due rights for this country and the people of such a country. Just like at the end of the film, "The news media is the voice of the people, not the mouthpiece of the government." We must be a media person with a conscience and the courage to speak the truth.
We also have no shortage of truth-tellers, but the current public opinion environment is too cautious. I hope to see more "debates" instead of "reports" on social platforms; I hope that everyone who dares to tell the truth can stand on the platform and shout in earnest, instead of "the user does not exist" in exchange ; Hope every bloody truth is taken seriously, not a "404".
We have never been short of truth-tellers. We were, are, and will be in the future.
