Two years later, the same cinema, a 3D version of the Grandmaster. After watching, sit in the seat and wait until all the subtitles are finished before leaving the venue.
There are many things I like, and it is not easy to give a superlative label to anything. But Grandmaster, I would say without hesitation, this is my favorite movie. Every frame of it, every soundtrack, every line, hits the soul directly. It is like a big, beautiful, soft but heavy dream, immersed in it, unwilling to wake up.
In this editing, a lot of fragments have been cut, and the overall structure is much smoother and easier to understand. In the version two years ago, the director wanted to say too much: martial arts, family and country, love and hatred, grudges, north-south, history, trying to accommodate so many things in a two-hour movie, even a stream-of-consciousness sunglasses king. It's too difficult. In the 3D version, the director reluctantly deleted a lot of side branches, but instead highlighted the entire martial arts, which is more worthy of the name of a generation of masters.
The grandmaster of the generation was Ye Wen, not Ye Wen.
It is said that he is not, because the predecessors clearly have Gong Baosen, and secretly have Ding Lianshan. The same generation has a first-line sky and a palace second.
Say he is, because he is the one who will undoubtedly carry the path down. He does not have such a heavy ego. He is more like the kind of person who has no history and no future as said in the Buddhist language. He is diligent in studying and practicing hard but not bitter; he lifts weights lightly but not frivolous. Therefore, he can break the cake in Gong Baosen's hand, because he has great ambitions; so he can seal the sword of a thin line of heaven because of his outstanding skills. With one mouthful of belts and one breath, one can bend and stretch at any time without being arrogant. This simple philosophy of life cannot be held by anyone. In the 2d version, Gong Baosen said to Ding Lianshan: "Bao Sen doesn't want to be a hero, but Bao Sen wants to create current affairs. Ye Wen is a good material. In this furnace, we need his new firewood." He chose the right person, Ye Wen Asked to see mountains, crossed them, and finally became the master of martial arts who saw himself, the world, and all living beings.
The dark line part of Ding Lianshan's One Line Sky is vaguely expressed in the 2D version, but it has a lot of content. In the 3D version, it is much clearer, but the content has become very small, more like a supplement, waiting for the audience to dig out their own brain supplements. Undoubtedly, it is also a part of martial arts, and it is the inevitable shadow behind the glorious martial arts master. Ding Lianshan's lines are too profound: "In a sect, someone has to be the face, and someone has to be the lining." Face and lining are missing one Not possible. Knowing the world is not black and white, understanding the world is not just about good or bad, but accepting the complexity and variety of the world is what growth looks like. It's also a wonderful story and a hero's life, even in the shadows.
Rao is a grievance between the family and the country, and Director Wang still likes to shoot love. From Carmen in Mong Kok to The True Story of Ah Fei, from the evil in the east and the poison in the west to the light of day, there is an inescapable love byte that goes around.
Gong Er said that the Gong family has no defeats, and if they lose, someone in the Gong family will find them. So Jinlou held a Hongmen banquet, and Ye Wen was invited. Since then, flowers have been hidden in the leaves for a time, and I have stepped on snow several times in my dreams. However, no matter how many mountains of martial arts you have crossed, you will not be able to survive. The finished new clothes, in the end, only one button is left.
"It was my luck that I met you at the best time. It's a pity that I don't have time. Thinking about life without regrets, it's all pissed off. If there were no regrets in life, it would be so boring. Mr. Ye, say something. To tell the truth, I have you in my heart. It's okay for me to tell you this. It's not illegal to like someone, but I can only do it until I like it."
Some people commented that men and women are different after all. Gong Er was reading Ye Wen, and Ye Wen was reading sixty-four hands. In fact, the sixty-four hands have long been more than sixty-four hands. It is the initial heartbeat, the proof of mutual acquaintance, and the thing that carries the longing for a long time. There is never love for no reason, but some people keep in mind the origin of love, and some people choose to play stupid.
The easter egg that the director buried in the 3D version has fulfilled the dreams of many people. The sixty-four hands of a door time have finally seen it. Gong Er's smile at the end of the momentum is a rare light in the entire plain-tone film. It was an expression with affection, and it had nothing to do with the depth of martial arts, or the righteousness of the family and country. As for whether that's true, and whether it actually happened, what does it matter? Shi Hang has a comment that is particularly good: it depends on whether this scene is what you expect to happen.
In the 3D version, I cut out a scene that I like very much, Gong Baosen died, the Gong Er train ran home at night, and the uncles and uncles in the door all stopped her to take revenge: "If this matter is up to you, no matter who it is. It's a joke if you die or get hurt. In your palace, the apprentice killed the master, and the junior sister killed the senior brother. Isn't this a bunch of unkind beasts? As for your senior brother, even your father can't take it down. , why are you?" Because of this scene, Gong Er's decision seemed more staunch and resolute. Her father is right, she can become famous by singing and become a monk, because she will be fascinated. Gong Er's life was most fascinated by what she believed to be "correct". Because of this correctness, she and Ye Wen had a fate. Also for this correctness, she cut off this fate. At the end of the film, the scene of practicing boxing in the heavy snow has a particularly simple beauty, like a life like the first one, which can only be preserved in memory.
I think I'll watch it again.
