back to the start

The whole play of Woody Allen's "Ferris Wheel" makes people feel depressed, and the high-saturation shots switch back and forth between the changes of the follower's plot, telling the story of a reorganized family with such bright colors;

The teenager who set fire to the fire, the daughter who escaped from the underworld, the wife who cheated on him, the husband who lived in a daze, originally thought that there would be a lot of things in the world, no matter how sad or unhappy they were, they would eventually pass;

But this thing did not happen, one hour and 41 minutes; a story, just an episode in the middle, after the episode, life turned back again like the Ferris wheel, and everything went back to its original point.

The arsonist continued to set the fire, the daughter was eventually brought back to the underworld, the husband began to drink alcohol again, and the wife still imagined escaping the family.

We are all passers-by sitting in the Ferris wheel, going around all the time, day after day, sometimes we can see poetry and the distance, and sometimes we have to return to the ground.

    woody allen is now subverting its old narrative in every play. You thought it was like "Match Point", thought it was like "Blue Jasmine", thought he was going to repeat it again, but at the end told you that I just didn't kill it, the end shot was still a little boy, and I told you that I was going to destroy it, baa! Woody is making fan movies now, and it must be interesting to understand his narrative structure. Scheduling still sucks, love it

Wonder Wheel quotes

  • Mickey: Nothing you could tell me could put the slightest shadow on this evening.

    Ginny: I'm not 35. I'm 38. I'm 39.

    Mickey: Well, that's a very hot age for a woman. I'm a very lucky guy.

  • Mickey: Jesus, what a sheltered life I've led. I have book knowledge but you've really tasted life.

    Carolina: You've been round the world.

    Mickey: Yeah, but you've been around the block. You think you'll always be looking over your shoulder?

    Carolina: Everybody dies, you can't walk around thinking about it.

    Mickey: You're talking to a lifeguard.
