"Political riot over a drainpipe"

The first time I watched a real "external subtitle" movie, I was really not used to it at first, but from about 5 or 6 minutes, when the two protagonists broke out for the first time, they basically integrated into it. The story began to ferment from a small quarrel, and a political riot was triggered due to the long-standing contradiction between the two ethnic groups of Lebanon and Palestine under "coincidence". The most exciting part of the story is the conflict in the court trial and the ending of the meeting and the end of the grudge. The editing is compact, the context is clear, and the tension of the characters is remarkable. In war, it is always the common people who will be hurt in the end. The lawsuit of the two protagonists was originally caused by their stubborn personalities. They are victims from a large political environment, and a trial that rises to a political level will never have a satisfactory ending. But the ingeniousness of the story is that it pulls back from the big picture to the balance point of the two people. Overall, I personally think that this is an anti-war movie that promotes human nature, and it is worth watching. Personal score: 8.5 points.

Only then did I clearly realize that the various conflicts and contradictions we see in the news every day, it turns out that the grievances are so deep, not only ideological conflicts, but not all ethnic and religious conflicts, not a simple sentence "put aside historical disputes and move forward." "See" can be solved, let alone one or two politicians, forced political correctness, or even a generation can solve. At the end of the movie, chicken soup is sprinkled, which further contrasts the helplessness in reality. North Film Festival 11

#Venice2017# It takes a lot of background knowledge about Lebanon and Palestine to fully understand. The film is really good, the political and historical contradictions and war trauma memories stirred up by a small incident, and the endless court scenes have actually become a (unable to) trial and psychoanalysis of the inexorable historical issues. Preaching is definitely preaching, and it’s almost a political movie. It’s definitely not as good as “separating once.” There must be a prize.
