Ancient Propositions About Mermaids

"Jennifer" is not a movie, but an episode of the 2005 "Masters of Horror" series.

At that time, this series was a sensation, and it is said that it brought together many awesome horror film directors to create a feast of horror for fans. Of course, we can't deny that there are a few movies out there to watch, if only to pass the time.

In the 13 episodes in the whole series, the best of the first season was deservedly won by Takashi Miike, who shot the most exciting episode of the season, although this is probably just one of his works. But when it comes to horror movies, I don't think Americans can even compare to Thais, let alone Japan.

The episode I'm going to talk about today is called "Jennifer", and I think it and "Memoirs of a Ghost Trick" are the only two movies worth watching in the first season.

To put it bluntly, this is an ancient proposition, that is, if you give a man a mermaid, do you choose to be a man and a fish or a man to be a fish? Our protagonist Jennifer is a beastly beauty.

The male protagonist is a policeman. On a mission, he encounters a half-bald man who wants to kill a good-looking woman. After persuading to no avail, he shot and killed the half-bald man. However, what is unexpected is that the face of this woman is not as good as the failed case of disfigurement, it is simply the appearance of an alien beast.

However, this Jennifer seems to be magical and can especially arouse a man's desire for protection. And with her perfect figure and sexual initiative, she won the favor of the male protagonist. But the male protagonist slowly discovered that Jennifer feeds on predatory creatures, from kittens to people, as long as any living creatures can't escape this bloody mouth.

After one crazy sex after another and one serious crime after another, the two eloped to avoid guilt and protect Jennifer. Yes, the man eloped with the man who ate his wife, but I don't know why, when Jennifer ate a small town boy, the man finally couldn't help but explode.

He dragged Jennifer into the forest, trying to completely get rid of this creature that made him lustful but dehumanized. Just as he was about to drop his axe, a shot rang out, and he was shot dead by a passing hunter. Before he dies, he watches the hunter say Jennifer's name, just as he saves Jennifer from the bald man in the movie, and the bald man also says Jennifer's name.

After all, this is a story about the desires of men. This story tells us that we must never choose to be a fish or a man. Their mouths may be eaten.
