"In this corner of the world" tells the story of a young peasant woman in the countryside of Japan during World War II. Except for Japan’s identity as a fascist invader in World War II, whether the creator has enough anti-war awareness, and whether the fascist people are innocent or not, the film permeates the small beauty in ordinary life. It became a very simple story about how life's small, beautiful moments kept people going through pain and trying to survive. The days of drying the seaweed in the farmland of mountains and seas are beautiful, and the sea where the white rabbits are jumping in the pen of the innocent and lovely girl is beautiful. Even the arranged marriages of two people who have never met are respectful and warm to each other. And sincere.
