Fairy tales exist because there are realities that cannot be escaped

Before watching the movie, I thought that "Pan's Labyrinth" would be similar to "The Chronicles of Narnia", creating a bright and splendid magical sky, or it would be similar to "Tdieland", in a depressing and helpless environment. Create a new world by yourself. In fact, "Pan's Labyrinth" does have a certain similarity to "Rising Tide Coast" in theme, but it has a deeper meaning and a thicker sorrow than the latter.

Ophelia follows her pregnant mother In the camp life of Captain Stepfather, the ferocious and arrogant stepfather did not bring her the slightest warmth, but let her witness a more cruel and chaotic reality. Under such helplessness, she was immersed in the fairy tale world she created-- -Elf, magic, a piece of chalk on the wall is just a door, the hideous Pan Shen told her that she is the most noble princess in the underground world.

How I hope such naive imagination will bring her some carefree Carefree happiness, but no, even in the fairy tale world, there is still a dim atmosphere: muddy underground passages, ugly toads, ferocious and terrible monsters, Pan Shen told her that as long as she completes three tasks before the full moon You can return to the underground kingdom and wander freely in the glorious courtyard of the golden wall. She is convinced of this, just as she is looking forward to leaving the stepfather’s camp, leaving the war, and leaving the bloody reality.

She is disappointed. The mother has a difficult delivery. Dead, no one can save her. In the world of fairy tales, she failed. She refused to exchange innocent blood for her own happiness. The hideous Pan Shen told her: You can't go back!

She finally fell. , Died in Pan's maze, and died under the gun of her stepfather. At the last moment of consciousness, she returned to the underground kingdom, and her father told her with satisfaction: You succeeded, you are not willing to sacrifice your innocence, that's why Is the most correct answer.

I would like to regard this film as a torture of human nature, truth and goodness, in the ugly and cruel reality, struggling so fragile and weak, that I have to use my life to defend the last trace of human conscience. In the two coexisting worlds, on the one hand, truth, goodness and beauty are recognized and respected after experiencing hardships, while on the other, tyranny is rampant and unlovable.

The heroine in the play is named Ophelia, who has the same name as the prince's fiancée in Shakespeare's . In the dark and gloomy maze, the road to light is so long, and death has become the only way to liberate. The difference between reality and fairy tales lies in the moment of bleeding and falling.

If Water Shape Story can be 3 and a half stars, this is 6 stars. Don’t blow, don’t black.

Pan's Labyrinth quotes

  • Ofelia: Many, many years ago in a sad, faraway land, there was an enormous mountain made of rough, black stone. At sunset, on top of that mountain, a magic rose blossomed every night that made whoever plucked it immortal. But no one dared go near it because its thorns were full of poison. Men talked amongst themselves about their fear of death, and pain, but never about the promise of eternal life. And every day, the rose wilted, unable to bequeath its gift to anyone... forgotten and lost at the top of that cold, dark mountain, forever alone, until the end of time.

  • Pan: The moon will be full in three days. Your spirit shall forever remain among the humans. You shall age like them, you shall die like them, and all memory of you shall fade in time. And we'll vanish along with it. You will never see us again.
