This is not a war film about the Vietnam War, but a road film about the growth of a person throughout his life.

"Three kinds of people: Kurtz is the prophet, Willard knows the hindsight, and Lance is unconscious.

It is said that the most important scenes in the new version of "Apocalypse Now" are Kopra and Mashu Re-added three scenes that were discarded in the past into the film: huddling with Playboy's labor girls on an ambulance helicopter; funerals, dinners, and sex in a ghostly French rubber plantation; and a scene in the defector Colonel Kurtz's nest play."

  • Willard: No wonder Kurtz put a weed up Command's ass. The war was being run by a bunch of four star clowns who were gonna end up giving the whole circus away.
