Love and marriage need management

At the beginning of the movie, there was no sound, and I thought my phone was broken. Suddenly the heroine Hester's tired and vicissitudes of life (in fact, she is still very young, maybe her heart is already old) sounded, she read her will (beginning) to the hero, and calmly prepared to commit suicide.

The film adopts the method of memory narration. For a while it is the moment, and for a while the camera takes the audience and follows the heroine into the memory.

The heroine, Hester, is married to a gentleman of the same age as her father, Bill. She lives a prosperous life, has a dull married life, is sometimes depressed, and has a harsh and elegant mother-in-law.

While playing golf, Hester met her husband's young friend, Freddie. Freddie, a World War II veteran with a passion, was drawn to Hester. Hester proposes a divorce, but Bill flatly refuses; Hester leaves her husband and lives in London with Freddie.

However, in getting along, the two became increasingly unhappy. In the pub, when they had a double date with Freddie's friends, everyone sang "you belong to me"; under the camera were the protagonist singing affectionately and Hester who was embarrassed and overwhelmed. Watching an exhibition of Cubist (perhaps Impressionism? Fuzzy) paintings in a museum, Freddie couldn't understand it at all, and the two quarreled loudly (when I saw this scene, I was scared and embarrassed). Their lives are also very embarrassing, and they can't even pay their rent. This kind of unhappiness prompted the heroine to want to commit suicide, and the neighbors discovered and rescued the heroine in time. Freddie came home from golf, found the will written by the heroine, and made up his mind to leave the heroine completely. At the end of the film, the heroine is reinvigorated and ready to start a new life, a life of one person.

After watching the movie, I have to feel that maintaining love and marriage requires a lot of effort, and communication is very important.

Hester and Bill belonged to the upper class, lived well and were well educated. Bill is a very gentleman and loves Hester deeply. Even if he is betrayed, he still provides help when Hester is in trouble and down. He will give a copy of Sharon's sonnets as a gift on Hester's birthday. .

But in the face of Hester's discord with his mother, Bill did nothing. When their marriage is in crisis, one is unaware and the other does not communicate. Hester and Freddie belong to different classes, lack a common language, more difficult to communicate, and the passion is not enough to make the two live together. Passion and a stable life, you can only choose one of the two.

The picture of the movie is very beautiful, and the soundtrack is just right. There are few lines, the progress is very slow, it needs a little patience, and it is highly recommended.

The MC score is actually 82, and many top film critics are full of praise, so I calmed down and took a closer look. The heroine's performance is impeccable, her relaxation is meticulous and meticulous, but I still think Tom is a casting error, I don't know. What was Grandpa Terence thinking. By the way, "Empire" is Tom's mother as always. She actually said that Tom's performance "makes the film soar". Do you want to praise your daughter like this, my NC fan is blushing

Originally I didn't want to watch this movie at all because most of the reviews said it was boring but after seeing Thompson's interview that he played a man who can't process love in this movie I was moved in fact although the narrative is very Jumping needles, but Thompson did perform the feeling of Pi Qiaolin *but* look at the film critics again and they said that the original writing was not such a character at all, so it was Thompson who OOC again, this man with extremely developed tear ducts OOC again.

The Deep Blue Sea quotes

  • Hester Collyer: Lust isn't the whole of life, but Freddie is, you see, for me. The whole of life. And death. So, put a label on that, if you can.

  • Mrs. Elton: A lot of rubbish is talked about love. You know what real love is? It's wiping someone's arse or changing the sheets when they've wet themselves. And letting them keep their dignity so you can both go on.
