Jean-Jacques Annaud is such a wizard, how could he make such a great film. I like the cuteness of the naive little bear when licking the wound for the big bear, the stupidity when he catches the frog, and the bravery when he meets the cheetah; I also like the seriousness of the uncle bear in the river, catching fish, and the hunter. They met head-on, but turned and left gracefully. Comparing the heart with the heart, the compassion of human beings towards animals is actually compassion towards themselves.
The great thrill is not in killing, but in letting live.
I didn't expect that the director who made "The Lover" and "Under the City" could produce such a natural and warm film. I liked the end of the movie very much. The big bear and the little bear were sleeping in the cave. Outside, the snowflakes were falling. Very warm feeling.
