human annihilation

A very simple but chilling film, many people feel either dull or a bit absurd when it comes to German cinema.

However, the spirit of craftsmanship is deeply rooted in the bones of the Germans. Therefore, the realistic subjects they shoot can be highly praised.

This is a film based on real historical events.

The story takes place before the defeat of Germany, and the male protagonist, who is a deserter, is in a desperate situation.

By chance, he picked up a Wehrmacht captain's uniform, so, shit luck came, he wore the uniform and pretended to be a captain.

He escaped crisis after crisis by cheating.

His tricks are lame and full of loopholes, but the veterans are silent, the non-commissioned officers are absolutely obedient, and the gendarmerie captains are complicit...

The reason behind this is shocking.

Human nature cannot stand the test, and rights make people crazy, so the male protagonist becomes an executioner, a god of death, and a devil.

And he's just a 20-year-old.

At the end of the film, the chaotic scene on the street strikes the soul directly, and it is extremely frightening to think carefully.

Unlike our neighbors' beautifying war, the Germans' war reflection is thorough, pure, and emanating from the bones.

From this film, we can see the destruction and annihilation of human nature by war.
