Still life is not silent

Monica Vitti's sculpturally cold and terrified face was so long before my eyes that it was almost brutally beautiful. I admire Antonioni's exquisite film language. He easily materializes the subtle emotions between the characters, like the set of shots at the beginning of the film, which makes me really believe that still lifes are not silent, they have even more than words and Action clearer, more precise speech function. It's a movie worth watching carefully and repeatedly, I spent 3 days watching it.

Sorry...I really almost didn't watch it. Interrupted several times. Too dull and fragmented really don't like it, the excess (Yongchang) is very suitable. We seem to be trapped at the crossroads of day and night, estranged from each other. It's good to shoot for half an hour, and ten minutes to old age.

#Anthony奥尼影展# About alienation. Various master-class subtle details: electric fan play (inside the house, airplane propeller, stock exchange, Del Piero's own), water metaphor, ending air scene, a minute of silence in the stock exchange, several times Kissing across the window. Monica Vitti played too well.

L'Eclisse quotes

  • Vittoria: Why do we ask so many questions? Two people shouldn't know each other too well if they want to fall in love. But, then, maybe they shouldn't fall in love at all.

  • Vittoria: As long as we were in love, we understood each other. There was nothing to understand.
