live with wounds

The beaver: Jodie foster is definitely a powerful actor and a worthy director. The movie she watched. It is about a man who was hopelessly depressed, found himself through the beaver, and saw his hand in order to get rid of the beaver. In the end, he did not say whether his depression was completely cured. In fact, does it matter whether it is cured or not? Everyone lives with wounds, so why does it have to be healed? Honest and not cheap admission: I'm no good. Everyone has a dark side, and if there is light, there is darkness. If one can only accept the bright side with purity, the suppressed darkness will explode one day. Accept your dark side, make peace with it, take your wounds, love yourself and others, and live your life well.

Melancholy is hereditary, love its performances and themes.

A good story from Jodie Foster's self-direction and self-acting, most of this type of subject matter can be easily appreciated. It's a pity that the filming was too trivial and very abrupt, and the preaching taste was really not close to the people, and it was difficult to make the audience feel inspired or healed in the end. ★★★

The Beaver quotes

  • Meredith Black: [reading] "Hello. The person who handed you this card is under the care of a prescription puppet, designed to help create a psychological distance between himself and the negative aspects of his personality. Please treat him as you normally would, but address yourself to the puppet. Thank you."

  • Henry Black: Dad?

    Walter Black: Yeah, mate.

Henry Black: Can we make a turd?

Walter Black: Yeah, anytime, mate. You give the word, we'll make the turd.
