8 years

This is Jane's last published story, written about an emotional story that lasted 8 years.

For 8 years, regret and longing have been intertwined, but the heart has become more clear and firm. Maybe the two will miss it forever and return, what kind of identity, state of mind and attitude will the two be.

Wentworth is so handsome, and British dramas, as always, are rich in tall, handsome and temperamental male protagonists, although this time it is ITV.

The heroine is not good-looking, the heroine in the book is not a beautiful woman, youth is fleeting, rational, stoic, calm and humble in front of people, and her heart is full of emotions, but she does not know how to face Wentworth and deal with her increasingly clear heart. I don't really like the manner of the heroine in the play, she doesn't feel like a lady, her entanglement, her helplessness, and her regret that she has nowhere to put should be more in the realm of reason, and her humility and nervousness should be more restrained. Some. The heroine's clothes are not good-looking, maybe the family is in decline, but the crew is too economical.

Why did Anne make Wentworth like it, why did she miss her for 8 years, and why did she stick to her heart for 8 years? It's her personality.

Most of the heroines in Jane's writings are cheerful, introverted and rational, but they all have independent thoughts and rich emotions.

Persuasion quotes

  • Captain Wentworth: Miss Elliot, I can bear this no longer. You pierce my soul. I'm half agony, half hope. Unjust I may have been. Weak and resentful I have been, but never inconstant. I offer myself to you again with a heart even more your own than when you almost broke it eight years ago.

  • Captain Wentworth: I have loved none but you. You alone have brought me to Bath. For you alone I think and plan. Have you not seen this?
