Anti-defeated majority and life in a corner of the world

"For patriotism and being brainwashed by politics, or people in any country in the world, it's essentially the same, you can't discriminate against other people's patriotism and humanity, the reaction at that moment is human." - Excerpted from the Blasphemy Movie article

(The blasphemous quote is because his comments and thoughts represent most of the people I mentioned.)

Life and death are full of life, and everyone seems so pale and powerless in the face of war. Almost the entire length of the film revolves around Hojo's perspective on the environment around him, and it's very personal and stream-of-consciousness. War comes and goes. The only thing that didn't change was Suzu's cognition. Even if it is confused and soft, it is the disgust for defeat that really pierces my heart as an audience. The distorted consciousness at this moment is like a machine that is going berserk, shattering all the love I had for the film before. At the end of the film, Suzu and her husband's family, as representatives of the survivors, continue to adhere to the "world-known" line of living well and live on. Then there was no more news about the attitude of the war.

The seemingly firm and tenacious ideas and the kind and humorous protagonists are really moving. They are also victims. But don't forget that behind every Japanese soldier in other countries fighting and killing, it is such a group of deformed people who fully support it. Patriotism and human nature are right in themselves, but what is wrong is how to be patriotic and show human nature. I can feel the parting of death under fire, but that's not the same thing as a perverted, twisted consciousness. For the people of the invaded country, it is a betrayal to talk about disasters and victims by splitting the appearance of life under the distorted consciousness.

It's hard to imagine anyone making a statement that would make people respect such a "seemingly warm and practical but expressionless" view of the film.

When others survived to expose the crimes of war, some chose to blindfold and change rooms and wear old clothes and continue to ignore them. It's scary that countless people follow this unreal goodwill.

This is the essential difference between anti-war and anti-defeat. There are many images of victims who show their defeat in World War II and Japanese families watching their children support the war, but they hardly mention the slightest reflection on why they fought.

So when we give affirmation to Germany's reflection on World War II, do we give affirmation to Japan without mentioning or commenting?

I can't do this. That kind of default will only further condone pathological growth.

The anti-defeated majority and the life in the corner of the world constitute the majority of Japan today. The appearance of the latter belies the substance. It is true that there are simple victims among them, but some things can be avoided without patting the dust on the legs and saying that life is still to be lived.

When he puts the big red hat on others, is he really?

(7/10) A very calm film, nothing too sensational. Many people followed me because of the "Criticism Goodbye Firefly" I wrote ten years ago, but in fact, my views have changed a bit over time. When anti-war and anti-violence, in fact, explaining the "harmful nature" of fighting (you will have your left leg, right leg, four legs, and the middle leg broken) is far more important than chicken soup moral preaching "Don't fight, because Such a bad character" is useful...

A naturally dumb heroine of a light novel or a girl's manga, who was mistakenly cast in the story of Hiroshima, Japan during World War II. The remorse すず shouted at the moment when I heard Yuyin's broadcast, somewhat complemented the collective spirit of the times that was diluted in the whole story. In contrast, "Youth H" and "If You Live With Your Mother" are liberal mythologies, disregarding the simple opposition between the empire and the commoners, which has never existed. Not to mention "Forever 0"
