"Jones's Free Country" ~ The film tells about the events of the American Civil War. The whole film is basically supported by Matthew McConaughey’s acting skills. There are few supporting roles and the overall plot lacks climax. It seems that every segment is quite burning, but when put together, it is impossible to tell the specific main line. Where is the anti-war in the first half and civil rights in the second half. Although this is the case in history, filmmaking still has to be focused. What I don’t like most is the scene after eighty years of non-stop cutting. The director likes to tell stories with subtitles so much, why don’t you use subtitles!

A man who never stops fighting, from protecting his homeland against tyranny to fighting racial discrimination and fighting for equal rights, the pursuit of freedom runs through his life. People have the right to be born free, and this is a never-ending war. Every time I watch Matthew McConaughey perform is a treat.
