The sudden suicide of the Austrian crown prince revived Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) who had been silent for 6 months. This time, Holmes has a strong opponent—Professor Moriarty (played by Jared Harris) who is intellectually equivalent to Holmes. In order to investigate the suicide case of the crown prince, Holmes and Watson (Jude Law), with the help of Gypsy astrologer Sim (Noomi Rapace), started with Moriarty. Contests on the entire European continent, from Britain to France, Germany...Although he is known as the smartest person, Professor Moriarty seems to be able to predict the whereabouts of Holmes, and he can escape Holmes first.
